AI-native software development studio

Custom software development your business actually runs on.

bilgilabs is a small, senior software development company. We take the messy problem nobody wants to touch — the spreadsheet your business currently runs on, the process that eats three hours a day — and turn it into a web platform.

What we do

Software development and IT services,
done properly.

Website development, custom software, mobile apps, AI automation, cloud and data — six things we can staff with senior engineers. We'd rather be genuinely good at a short list than average at everything.

Custom software development

Off-the-shelf almost fits? "Almost" is where the money leaks. We build bespoke business software, modernise legacy systems and wire up the internal tools your team keeps asking for — documented, tested, handed over clean.

Website & web application development

Business websites, customer portals, dashboards, marketplaces and multi-tenant SaaS. Fast on a MacBook in Berlin and on a mid-range Android with two bars of signal — because Core Web Vitals are a ranking factor, not a nice-to-have.

Next.jsMulti-tenant SaaSHeadless CMS

Mobile app development

One codebase, both stores. Cross-platform iOS and Android apps in Flutter and React Native, offline-first where it matters — because your drivers and field staff don't always have signal.

AI development & automation

We skip the demo that impresses and build the boring win that saves nine hours a week: LLM integration, document data extraction, retrieval-augmented search over your own documents, triage and forecasting.

Cloud, DevOps & IT services

CI/CD pipelines, containers, infrastructure as code, real monitoring and ongoing IT support. The goal is that shipping on a Friday afternoon stops being a brave decision.

Data engineering & analytics

ETL pipelines, a warehouse that models your business properly, and BI dashboards people trust. One number, one definition, so finance and ops stop arguing about whose report is right.

Selected work

Custom software case studies, real numbers

Client names changed where NDAs apply — the numbers are theirs, not ours.

Logistics Operations team using custom freight dispatch software on laptops

Freight dispatch software for a logistics operator

They ran dispatch from a shared drive and fourteen spreadsheets. We built a live ops board — assignments, ETAs, exceptions — with an alert layer that flags a late load before the customer calls about it.

AI document processing for insurance claims

Assessors were reading every PDF by hand. Now a model extracts the fields, cross-checks the policy and routes only the odd ones to a human — with a citation for every figure it pulls.

Healthcare Clinic treatment room served by a custom booking and billing platform

Clinic booking and billing platform

Nine clinics, three legacy systems, one very tired office manager. We consolidated scheduling and invoicing, then added SMS reminders — which quietly solved the no-show problem.

How it goes

Our software development process. No mystery months.

We listen properly

A call, then a working session. We want to see the actual spreadsheet, the actual complaint, the actual workaround your team invented.

We scope the smallest useful thing

A one-page plan: what ships first, what waits, what it costs. If we think you should build less, that's in there too.

We build in the open

Weekly demo of real software you can click. Access to the repo and the board from day one. No surprise reveals at the end.

We stay for the boring part

Handover docs, monitoring, a support window. Or we keep going on a retainer — plenty of clients do, but it's never assumed.

The studio

A senior software development studio
that would rather ship than pitch.

bilgilabs started because we kept being handed projects to rescue — good ideas, decent budgets, eighteen months of nothing to show. So we built the opposite: a small development studio where the person who scopes your work is the person who writes it, and progress is something you can click on.

Seniors only, no bench-warming Nobody learns their trade on your budget. The people on the kickoff call are the people writing the code.
You own everything from day one Your repos, your cloud accounts, your docs. No proprietary lock-in, no hostage situation at renewal time.
We'll talk you out of features If something won't earn its keep, we say so before you pay for it. It costs us hours and buys us trust.
AI where it helps, not where it looks good We've shipped LLM features that saved real hours — and killed a few that were only impressive in a demo.

Remote-first, working with clients across Europe, the UK, the Middle East and South Asia.

What our clients say after the invoice

They shipped in six weeks what our previous vendor scoped for six months — same budget. The weekly demo was the thing that changed everything; we stopped guessing.

Elif DemirCOO · Northgate Freight

The AI part got the headlines internally, but honestly it's the unglamorous reliability work underneath that saved us. They cared about that when nobody was watching.

Daniel RothCTO · Verra Health

Straight answers and no padding on the invoice. They told me to cut two features in the first meeting, which cost them money and won them a three-year client.

Two ways. If the scope is clear, a fixed price per phase so you know the number before we start. If it's exploratory or ongoing, a monthly retainer for a set amount of senior capacity. We don't bill by the hour — it rewards the wrong things.

Usually one to two weeks from a signed scope. We keep the team deliberately small, so we'd rather tell you the honest date than promise Monday and stack you behind three other projects.

Yes — about half our work is inherited code. We start with a short audit: what's solid, what's risky, what we'd fix first. You get that written down whether or not you hire us for the build.

You do, completely, from the first commit. It lives in your repository and your cloud account. If you walk away mid-project, you keep everything built so far — that's in the contract, not just a promise.

If it's focused, yes. A two-week automation that saves a team ten hours a week is a great project. What we can't do well is a vague brief with a tiny budget — we'll say so rather than take the deposit.

Send yours over and we'll sign it before the first real conversation. If you don't have one, we have a plain two-page version that our legal-averse clients seem to like.
