Custom software development
Off-the-shelf almost fits? "Almost" is where the money leaks. We build bespoke business software, modernise legacy systems and wire up the internal tools your team keeps asking for — documented, tested, handed over clean.
AI-native software development studio
bilgilabs is a small, senior software development company. We take the messy problem nobody wants to touch — the spreadsheet your business currently runs on, the process that eats three hours a day — and turn it into a web platform.
What we do
Website development, custom software, mobile apps, AI automation, cloud and data — six things we can staff with senior engineers. We'd rather be genuinely good at a short list than average at everything.
Off-the-shelf almost fits? "Almost" is where the money leaks. We build bespoke business software, modernise legacy systems and wire up the internal tools your team keeps asking for — documented, tested, handed over clean.
Business websites, customer portals, dashboards, marketplaces and multi-tenant SaaS. Fast on a MacBook in Berlin and on a mid-range Android with two bars of signal — because Core Web Vitals are a ranking factor, not a nice-to-have.
One codebase, both stores. Cross-platform iOS and Android apps in Flutter and React Native, offline-first where it matters — because your drivers and field staff don't always have signal.
We skip the demo that impresses and build the boring win that saves nine hours a week: LLM integration, document data extraction, retrieval-augmented search over your own documents, triage and forecasting.
CI/CD pipelines, containers, infrastructure as code, real monitoring and ongoing IT support. The goal is that shipping on a Friday afternoon stops being a brave decision.
ETL pipelines, a warehouse that models your business properly, and BI dashboards people trust. One number, one definition, so finance and ops stop arguing about whose report is right.
Industries we build for
Selected work
Client names changed where NDAs apply — the numbers are theirs, not ours.
They ran dispatch from a shared drive and fourteen spreadsheets. We built a live ops board — assignments, ETAs, exceptions — with an alert layer that flags a late load before the customer calls about it.
Assessors were reading every PDF by hand. Now a model extracts the fields, cross-checks the policy and routes only the odd ones to a human — with a citation for every figure it pulls.
Nine clinics, three legacy systems, one very tired office manager. We consolidated scheduling and invoicing, then added SMS reminders — which quietly solved the no-show problem.
How it goes
A call, then a working session. We want to see the actual spreadsheet, the actual complaint, the actual workaround your team invented.
A one-page plan: what ships first, what waits, what it costs. If we think you should build less, that's in there too.
Weekly demo of real software you can click. Access to the repo and the board from day one. No surprise reveals at the end.
Handover docs, monitoring, a support window. Or we keep going on a retainer — plenty of clients do, but it's never assumed.
The studio
bilgilabs started because we kept being handed projects to rescue — good ideas, decent budgets, eighteen months of nothing to show. So we built the opposite: a small development studio where the person who scopes your work is the person who writes it, and progress is something you can click on.

They shipped in six weeks what our previous vendor scoped for six months — same budget. The weekly demo was the thing that changed everything; we stopped guessing.
The AI part got the headlines internally, but honestly it's the unglamorous reliability work underneath that saved us. They cared about that when nobody was watching.
Straight answers and no padding on the invoice. They told me to cut two features in the first meeting, which cost them money and won them a three-year client.

No sales sequence, no discovery-call funnel. One human reads your message and replies with either a real opinion or an honest "not our thing".
We reply within one business day — usually a lot sooner.
Happy to sign your NDA before you share details.
